Rarely do we all share a similar experience, but over the past almost 18 months we have all pretty much shared one experience in particular, the pandemic. And it has and is still having a profound effect on us both physically and mentally.


Due to the nature of what has happened over the last nearly 2 years, pretty much all of us have had to adapt to new rules, new ways of working, restrictions and having to live with uncertainty. We may have found ourselves doing things that we really didn't sign up for! We've had to roll up our sleeves and get stuck in, working harder, taking on jobs and roles that we may have thought were in our past whilst juggling family and career at a level that most of us have never had to do.

Many people in addition to this have had Covid and are still suffering the physical and mental symptoms, others are suffering from anxiety brought on by the pandemic and sometimes fear of vaccination.

Long Covid Recovery Programme and Covid Anxiety Help

Long Covid Recovery Program

Both Matt from Deep Impact Massage and I have developed The Long Covid Recovery Program to do something that few if any are doing, that is, helping people with the symptoms of long covid.

We are taking a holistic approach (as we always do with out clients) The symptoms of long covid are very wide and they include : 

  • Fatigue

  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing

  • Cough

  • Joint pain

  • Chest pain

  • Memory, concentration or sleep problems

  • Muscle pain or headache

  • Fast or pounding heartbeat

  • Loss of smell or taste

  • Depression or anxiety

  • Fever

  • Dizziness when you stand

  • Worsened symptoms after physical or mental activities

The Long Covid Recovery Program consists of weekly Psychotherapy and Coaching to understand how you feel psychologically, how Long Covid has effected you and the impact it has had on your life. We aim to rebuild your confidence and belief that you can regain your old self and even better it! 

The second part which is highly recommended but not essential is the physical side. Massage therapy with Matt to treat physical issues. Matt will asses the effect Covid has had on your neuromuscular system and will work with you to regain your physical health (Massage for Covid Anxiety may not be necessary)

The third part is (when appropriate) light exercise. The programme includes 1 month complimentary membership at Challenge Gym with the assistance of a coach. Of course you could use your own place of exercise.

Covid Anxiety Help

If you feel anxious about the pandemic or vaccination, you are not alone! A large percentage of the population are feeling to some extent the same thing. Signs of Covid anxiety can include :

  • having a sense of apprehension or dread

  • feeling tense or jumpy

  • being restless or irritable

  • anticipating the worst

  • watching for signs of danger

In extreme circumstances, this can lead to panic attacks

Symptoms of a panic attack can include:

  • chest pain

  • feeling like the heart is racing or pounding

  • feeling faint or dizzy

  • sweating and hot flashes

  • nausea

  • shortness of breath or a feeling of choking

  • chills

  • shaky limbs

  • numbness

  • tingling in the fingers

  • dry mouth

  • ringing in the ears

  • butterflies in the stomach

  • disassociation, or feeling as though one is not connected to one’s body

Through a series of weekly therapy sessions we aim to greatly reduce and even eliminate your symptoms and rebuild your confidence and self belief, we have worked with many anxious people over the years with very good success.
